A veteran investor in alternative credit incl. marketplace lending, Rob leads the activities of Fintex as Chief Executive. Rob co-founded Excellion Capital in late 2007. Prior to that, he spent close to a decade at JPMorgan and JPMorgan Cazenove in Investment Banking.

Jerome Anglade


18 years' experience in structuring, trading & risk-managing fixed income products. Spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley incl. as Managing Director and Head of European Structured Credit. Jerome also co-founded Maple Bay Asset Management, which purchased US consumer loan portfolios on P2P platforms incl. Prosper.

Sophie Batoua

Chief Investment Officer

17 year track record in structured credit, incl. as Director at Société Générale in cross assets and special situations. Deep expertise in fixed income products, credit structuring and derivatives. Sophie leads our origination, analysis and investment management across all platforms of and strategies.

Philip Schajer

Chief Operating Officer

As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Phil leads our ops team. Phil plays an important role in all Fintex activities from marketplace lending to other areas of alternative credit. Phil also serves as Director of Fintex Capital S.A., the group's proprietary securitisation company. 

Ashley Marks

Co-Head of Property Lending

17 years property investment experience across wide areas of commercial and residential real estate. Also a Director at Mutley Properties, a property investment firm and Head of Real Estate at Excellion Capital. Chartered Accountant who previously worked at AXA Real Estate Investment Managers and Deloitte. 

Rafi Goldberg

Senior Quant

Extensive experience in mathematical modelling, problem solving and quantitative research. Prior to Fintex, Rafi modelled the UK Government's £50bn student loan repayment budget. Previously also worked for MSCI Barra (Morgan Stanley) and Watson Wyatt.

Joachim has gathered an extensive expertise of credit products from his postings at various financial institutions in London, Paris and Geneva. 

Through sell-side and buy-side positions, he has gained an experience in credit opportunities, private debt/private equity, structured solutions and asset back securities.

Odelia Johnen

Innovation and Prop. Technology

With considerable expertise in marketing and development of disruptive and proprietary technology, Odelia leads Fintex Capital's technology strategy.

She holds a diploma in Finance and Management from Heinrich Heine University, Duesseldorf.


helena fraser


With a focus on monitoring and reporting, Helena supports the team in an operational capacity. 

Helena graduated from University College London (UCL) with a BSc in Human Sciences and has a background in biomedical and statistical sciences, digital media and public relations.

Having completed spring internships and a summer analyst program while at university, James joined Excellion as an analyst after graduating from King’s College London.

James holds a BSc in Economics and Politics, and was co-founder and President of the KCL Fintech Society.
